Had to share

Each one of these homeowner campsites is better than the last! This one is in Hermosa just outside of Custer State Park. They have set up a number of shelters, including modifying an old shed to an unbelievable standard! Tongue and groove interior walls and ceiling with bunk beds, and a loft! Tent shelters and a small cabin as well. They have two homes on the property, one of which was their children’s who moved back to Oregon. They converted that one to shower rooms and a large utility room for dishes and laundry. They even provide ice from an ice machine! Each shelter has a small gas firepit and there is a larger gas fire pit for the two pavilions.

One of the shelters which isn’t even the best one. Look at decor inside
House converted to bathhouse
Sinks and shower stalls
Another sink, urinal, and toilet

The drive-through Custer State Park was windy but breathtaking. I’ll provide a couple of pictures, but I did not want to pull over on the most picturesque areas due to the blind curves in the road.
