Another incredible day!

Someone is up there shining a light on us as we continued to have great weather and make some great decisions.

Our VRBO in Missoula was so close we were able to walk from the house to the restaurant that provided the shuttle service to the concert venue! We walked over the river and actually saw surfers riding the high river wake and were impressed by the cleanliness and friendliness.

We felt like school kids again as we took the old-fashioned yellow school buses to the Kettle House amphitheater, which did not open for an hour after our arrival so we went to the brewery next-door and were able to eat right on the Blackfoot river and the mountains were right there in front of us just beyond the river.

We had drinks with a number of very friendly people and actually got to hear the strangest warm-up band ever! It was a woman who actually whistled her whole set and she was an activist and named her songs after various causes and you were like, how does that whistled tune correlate to under privileged children?

Then Lord Huron brought chills, smiles, and memories that were invigorating and emotional. Everyone there was just so happy and friendly. The concert was nice because you felt you could just sit and listen and enjoy the music without having to be too demonstrative. There were certainly moments of exuberance, but just a cool time. We then took the school bus back to the original venue and walked down the street and found another cool restaurant that was extremely busy for a Monday evening on Memorial Day and once again everyone was in a good mood and having a great time on a warm but quickly chilling day in May. The dogs were all friendly too! 😬

Which is redder… my sunburned face or the homemade hot sauce?
My artwork is still hanging at my grade school in Eliot Maine 50 + years later! I just learned this today and it ties in with the school bus theme! ( thanks Laurie T!)
